How do I disable autocorrect in messaging?

I would like to turn off autocorrect on my phone, especially in Messaging. I would like, however, for an incorrect word to be highlighted so I can decide if I want to change it or not.

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.0.3

Go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Auto-Correction

You can toggle it On and Off from here
