How to delete unfinished downloads

I recently upgraded phones to an iPhone 8 plus. When I did that I restored from a previous phone. I had to have two apple ids on the previous phone. When the phone was downloading apps it started asking for the old Apple ID. I started deleting all the apps with that old ID because I couldn’t remember the passcode. Unfortunately one of the apps became corupted and now won’t download or do anything I want to see if there’s a way to delete it and make a new download with the good ID

Hello, Hyashy.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you're unable to delete an app on your iPhone 8 Plus. I may be able to help with this. If you haven't already done so, restart your iPhone. I would check to see if the app is pending a download that hasn't started yet. If so, you could just cancel it. Go to the iTunes & App Store > Updates. Make sure you're connected to a stable Wi-Fi. If the app is partially downloaded you can go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and see if you can find the app and delete this way.

Let me know if this helps.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Cheers!
