Sierra on an Early 2009 iMac 24

I have an Early 2009 iMac 24 and just upgraded the hard drive and decided to install the OS fresh and rebuild the accounts. It is good to start from scratch sometimes.

I have an install disk for El Capitan and that worked like a charm, but when I went to the store figuring I could update to High Sierra, the upgrade is not available on this model.

El Capitan is fine, but how would I get Sierra? It is not available in my purchases, nor is it on any download links.

You need a Late 2009 iMac or later to run Sierra and/or High Sierra.
