How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support

but remove cleanmymac first, or erase & install after a suitable backup is secure : ask if it's not clear exactly what to do.

I've just seen your other posts on freezing etc, and wonder if you might have hardware problems, specifically hard drive, or hard drive cable trouble; either of which might cause the file errors noted earlier.

If you can make it 'freeze' to order, open Console app from Applications/Utilities, select error & faults, then see if a bunch of disk0s2 I/O or similar errors crop up. If so, post one or two here.

I see, thanks for the screenshot. It should mean that you don't have any User fonts; but you might use Finder to make sure, by looking in your User/Library/Fonts folder... Select the line of text below, then Ctrl (right or two finger) click it & choose Services - Open from the contextual menu that appears.

~/Library/Fonts

If that Fonts folder is empty, it seems not to be a User font problem :

Check that Safari - Preferences - Advanced - Style Sheet is set to None Selected; then test with any Safari extensions disabled, refreshing the pages to make sure You can do all extensions at once by enabling Safari's Develop menu in Safari - Preferences - Advanced, then selecting Develop - Disable Extensions.

If you still have problems :

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

If things are normal there, test again after restarting as normal, then consider running & posting the report from http://etrecheck.com/

Normally, assuming that you don't erase before installing, Skype & other application settings/history will be retained, just as they are when updating or even upgrading from say Sierra to High Sierra; but a backup or two is always a good thing to have (essential if something does go wrong).

Skype say the following, which you could test in another user account beforehand.

https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10888/how-do-i-manage-my-conversation-history -in-skype-for-macCan I transfer my instant message history from one computer to another?

The last 30 days of your conversation history are stored in the cloud, so you can access it when you’re signed in to Skype on any device.

History older than 30 days is saved on your hard drive, according to your history settings.

You can transfer your history from one computer to another – for example, from a Mac to another Mac, or a Mac to a Windows machine – by copying your Skype Name folder from one computer to another.

To transfer your conversation history:

  1. Open Finder and navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Skype/.

The “~” sign means your home folder. To find your home folder, open Finder and in the main menu, select Go > Home or press Command (Apple) + Shift + H keys.

  2. Copy the folder that has your Skype Name, and save it to an external media device.
  3. On your new computer, install and sign in to Skype so that the necessary folder is created, then sign out of Skype again.
  4. Replace the Skype Name folder with the one that you saved in step 2.
  5. Sign in to Skype. Your chat history will be there when you browse through your conversations.

Ignoring the question marks for now, there are several diagnostic reports shown with causes usually related to missing or damaged system files. Taken along with the Safe mode difficulty : I would reinstall Mac OS, after making suitable backups, if at all possible.

There's also a new version of Safari : 11.0.1, although Apple (for now) show it as 11.1 on their website, & 11.0.1 in App Store.

com.macpaw.CleanMyMac3.Agent.plist : etrecheck has removed some of this menace, but there's more : How to uninstall CleanMyMac 3 then reinstall Mac OS

Back to the font problem :

Until or if Safe mode is useable, and assuming style sheet/safari extensions drew a blank; and noting the Safari History crash... I'd try Safari - History - Clear History (after copying or bookmarking anything vital to keep)n then restarting the computer.

There are several Safari & Font related cache files within the User Library, & in a hidden folder which I hesitate at pointing you towards, since I don't yet have High Sierra to confirm the paths : I'm sure that someone else here will chime in with that information.

Extending dominic23's earlier suggestion : selecting every font (edit - Select All) in Font Book & choosing File - Validate Fonts can't hurt : but don't ignore the reinstall.
