fusion contacts info

is there a way to fusion contacts info (from contacts app) into fields in pages or numbers?

iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), macOS Sierra (10.12.3)

Hi Steve,


With Numbers 4.3 (the latest incarnation) you can drag and drop one or more selected contacts from Contacts into a spreadsheet and it will automatically import and tabulate every field in quite an effective manner:

In Pages 6.3 (again the latest incarnation) the results when dragging and dropping from Contacts into a table are less than satisfactory:

For more precise import (of selected fields or into a custom table) then AppleScript would probably be the best solution.


EDIT: you can also create a table in Pages (6.3) or Numbers (4.3) with the field names you want to import in the header row. As long as these precisely match the field names in Contacts, just this data will be imported when you drag and drop:

But this is not a mail merge.
