Reboot doom loop iPhone 7
My iPhone 7 began heating up while charging and would discharge quickly. The device was acting up, running slow and other issues. iTunes would not display properly and none of the icons at the bottom of the screen would function. I deleted it from my screen and then tried to restore the phone from backup. I rebooted the phone via the hard reset (volume down with side "power button". The apple and status bar would appear but the status bar would only advance to ~ 7/8 of the way. iTunes would not recognize the phone. I downloaded the newest version of iTunes (12.03?) and connected the iPhone 7 to my iMac to no avail. The message that the iPhone was locked and the prompt to unlock it with the security code was given. I tried this several times during multiple reboots. Finally, a last reboot was attempted and when asked to enter my security code, I timed the entry of the last number of my security code milliseconds after pressing "retry" on the iTunes prompt and was successful in getting iTunes to recognize the iPhone so I could reset it. Although I lost everything after my last back up, the software is now running well and the phone is no longer heating up. Is this a valid fix?
