I received a weird email about an unoutorized login but it feels like something is wrong how do I know is really from AppleID??

It's a scam. Do not follow any links - they are attempting to find out your ID and login.


Real messages from Apple will always address you by name, not 'Dear Client' or similar, nor your email address. They will always come from the apple.com domain (though this can be forged). If you ever want to check on the status of your account or your purchases always go directly to the proper web page, never ever from links in emails.


You could forward it as an email attachment to reportphishing@apple.com so that they know about it, then just delete it.
