My PC recognizes the printer , but I get a message saying "You do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer." How can I fix this?
I have come across the exact same problem. I am logged in on the Windows 2000 HP notebook as admin and still get the same message. Any further suggestions? Other PCs on the networkcan print to the printer.
r u logged in as Admin or as a account who has admin rights. Sometime Windows for what ever reason does not grant the same rights, as a account who has admin rights.
I have the same problem. I used to be able to print from an HP laptop to an HP printer connected to Airport Express. All of a sudden it won't, and when I go into the Bonjour Printer Wizard I get that same message--when I am on the only account on the laptop and it IS an admin account.
Try this, Network Magic MAC version and iFelix support website. Therse r great site for networking printing troubleshooting and solutions. Follow the 2 links below, they should be of great help and make printer networking ez.
I experienced the same problem on a Gateway laptop running XP Media Center Edition. Bonjour set-up worked fine to install an old HP all-in-one (PSC 750), but I saw the same "access" error you describe with a new Canon printer. This was from my personal account, which has admin privileges and which I used to install the HP printer. I switched user to the Owner account and tried Bonjour set-up again with the Canon, and it worked fine.
