Numbers status bar functions

Hi, anyone know the answer to this app difference in macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 and Numbers version 4.3 (5046)?

The mathematical functions selected in the bottom Status Bar - Average, Sum, Max, Min, do not give any results for those functions, except that Counta does show the number of cells selected. They did this in previous versions.

So, you quickly select 10 cells in a row and then expect to see those cells averaged, summed giving a max and a min but it does not happen.

Is there anything to be done to regain this functionality please?

Hi SGIII

The quit and then restart had no effect on this.

My spreadsheet opens without the lower status bar showing, then when I select my range of cells the status bar appears with SUM, MAX, MIN, AVERAGE & COUNTA showing but with only COUNTA populated with the number of cells selected.

However, I have solved the problem.

I selected a brand new table sheet and entered some data into cells. When a range of cells was selected the status bar displayed the functionality correctly for that selection.

My sheet is a financial record.

So I thought that perhaps if all cells are not formatted with the same value then the functions will not resolve.

I re-formatted all relevant cells to Currency and now the status bar functionality works correctly.

Thanks for the steer.
