How to force integrated GPU at log-in for MBP 2011

Just thought I'd share this useful app for those with a MBP 2011 that's crippled by faulty heat control senors (triggered by the discrete GPU).

Apple have replaced the logic board in my MBP twice and it still dies on me whenever the discrete GPU kicks-in to run more demanding tasks (e.g. editing a photo). They're now refusing to carry out any more repairs on my "vintage" Mac.

This app (which is based on GFXStatus) forces your Mac to only use the integrated GPU at log-in.

In Sierra: just installed the script by Joachim, set it in the LoginItems and restarted: works perfectly and shows the i set in the menubar for a short while. So far so good. I will uninstall it again since I have a mid 2012 MBP at my hands here, which does not have faulty sensors.

I will not test in HSierra because I do not have the 2011 MBPs anymore.
