How make the clock face stay lit in Nightstand mode.

I would like the Clock face to stay lit while it is in nightstand mode on my Apple Watch Series 1. Is this possible? It does not make sense that the clock goes into sleep mode when you’re in bed it’s nice to just look over and see the time.
