Safari unwanted tabs pop up

I am having problems with Safari Version 11.0.1 (12604.3.5.1.1) on my MacBook Pro I keep getting tabs popping up with adverts for different things most notably Mackeeper. I am running extension Adblock Ultimate 1.9.3 and Adamant 1.3.I have tried Preferences > Security Unticking "Enable Javascript" closing Safari then re-opening and tick "Enable Javascript" again. Problem persists. Any advice please? Thank you in advance
