ios 11.1 missing emojis

updated to iOS 11.1 iPhone 6

all the new emojis that were supposed to be released are missing. tried a restore in itunes from an earlier backup. same results.

anyone else missing the new emojis? the weird thing is when someone send the new emoji to me in a text i can see it but i cant send the new ones out.
