I am getting a lot of X rated emails. Is there a way to block them.

No, not really. Not unless you have controls at your email server to have them deleted before they even reach your inbox.

If not, about all you can do is flag them as junk. You email client will learn what you want sent directly to the trash as you flag more as junk.

Change email providers to one that does a more effective junk mail filtering. Of course, then may result in getting a new email address (maybe) which of course will not be in the hands of spammers.

I say maybe in that while the new email provided will give you an email address for their site, many email providers allow you to forward all your mail to another email address. For example, my ISP gives me an email account, but I do not want to use it. But may ISP wants to send me email about my account. So I configure my ISP's email account to forward anything that shows up there to my preferred email service.

I happen to use gmail (which has a very good spam filter), but of course Google knows everything about me as well. But that spam filtering is fantastic, so I'm staying where I am.

Probably not. If there were a few email addresses they were sent from you could make a rule but the sent from addresses are probably different. It may have nothing to do with you, just a spam bot that harvested another person's contacts who has you in their address book. Short of changing your email account until it dies down, no real good fix I know of.

PS. Back in the '90's I had an email account that got go on spam lists, and besides all the spam, I was also getting x-rated email. I tried to set up filters to block this stuff, but the content kept changing, and my list of email rules to stop this stuff got very complex and way too time consuming to keep up-to-date.

The email account that replaced this spam encrusted email account was my gmail account, back when you had to get an invitation to use gmail. I have never looked back, and the amount of spam that actually reaches my inbox is almost non-existent.

Finally, to make my life easier, at that time I also go my own domain name which allowed me to change which mail provided emails pointed towards. So if I decide to which from gmail, I can keep my email address, and use another email provided, by going to my domain name provider and changing where my email address points to.
