top podcast downloads in itunes

Question

top podcast downloads in itunes

does anyone know if 1000's of people download a podcast that is NOT hosted in itunes,but they downloaded the podcast using itunes, will the downloads of this podcast be counted towards the itunes podcast TOP downloads list?

Where the files are hosted doesn't matter since iTunes is not hosting them. The podcast creators have to provide hosting themselves. If downloaded with iTunes then the podcast counts for ratings in iTunes but nowhere else. Other podcast ratings are mostly done by voting.
