Resetting my phone seems to have worked. I erased all content and settings and started over. It seems like whatever was causing the error wouldn’t let me backup my phone to iCloud either because the most recent backup I had was from the night before the 10 was released. If you’re going to try this one, I wouldn’t wait too long.
Got it. It had something to do with trying to restore from my backup. A friend who set up as a new device and did not restore from backup didn’t have this issue. I went into settings, went into my iCloud account and went to backup. There it let me stop the restore I had in progress, which of course means some things might not finish transferring over, and allowed me to manually backup my new phone. Hope that helps.
This worked for me. I kept getting the “Purchase of item is not currently available. Item is being modified. Please try again later” error. Deleted Music off phone. Removed old apps. Error message continued. Then erased phone and restored from Backup. No more errors appeared. Best wishes.
Seems that the problem finally resolved once my phone finished restoring from backup.
Have you tried to reset your network settings? settings>general>reset>reset network settings. Since the ten is so new you might not get a perfect answer right away. There are several users here that were able to get it but some of us have not.
Thanks for sharing. Did you restore from iCloud backup? If so was it a different backup than the one you used initially when you got the new phone?
Same problem here. I thought it was due to some old apps that are not available in App Store any more but I deleted those and the problem remained. Waiting to finish restoring phone and back it up to see if the problem persists.

Seems like an issue with the store or my Apple ID. If I log out of my ID on the phone, a few minutes later it asks me to sign in, when I do it gives me the error message.
Let me know how that works. I thought about completely erasing the phone and starting over again like new, but didn’t want to do all that for nothing.
It was the same backup (date/time) from iCloud that I used to set the new phone.

Yep. Sadly it has resumed for me as well.
Funny. I did the same exact thing. Glad that’s over. It was pretty painful. Enjoy the new phone!
