setup e-mail accounts

I easily setup e-mail accounts in my iMac and iPhone, although when setting up the same account in the iPad I receive a message "your e-mail web server don't answer". Could some one help me to solve that issue ?

Best regards

Jo

Hello JaumeBS,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help setting up your email account on your iPad. If your email is set up as a POP email account, please check the information within this help article: Get help if you have issues using a POP email account with more than one device

If you still have issues, and since it worked on your iPhone and your iMac, this may be an issue with the connection on your iPad. How are you connecting to the internet? Via Wi-Fi or Cellular data?

If you are using Wi-Fi I recommend:

1. Going to Settings > Wi-Fi and turning Wi-Fi off.

2. Restarting your device: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

3. When it comes back up, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi back on and test.

If you are using Cellular data, ensure cellular data is enabled for Mail.

1. Go to Settings > Cellular

2. Scroll down to Mail.
  • If the slider if off, turn it on.
  • If it is on, turn it off and restart your device.
  • Go back to Settings > Cellular and re-enable the slider for Mail.

If you still have issues, I recommend making a backup before the next steps to protect your data. You can make a backup in iCloud or iTunes using this article: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Then, Reset your Network settings, the steps are provided in this help article: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't connect to a Wi-Fi network

Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.

Once all that is done, you may also need to remove and re-add your account: If you can’t send or receive emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks and have a great day.
