Hello,

On iPhone X, the essential icons appear in the top-left or top-right corner of the screen. If you don't see an icon, check Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner.

With all do respect. We are not that dumb. As I said, the icon appears when not in airplane mode and disappears when in airplane mode even though wifi calling works. See attached screen shot. I just made a wifi call while its not indicated that I have wifi calling. There is an issue with the iOS when it comes to iPhone X.User uploaded file

but you did not address the WIFI icon, where is it? Is it suppose to show on the X or not?

Please address the question with a direct answer please as my "WIFI" calling, if working, ***** and I need to know what's wrong

Same problem here. Wifi calling always works on my iPhone X. However, when I turn on airplane mode, the vzn-wifi icon doesn’t show next to the wifi symbol (even though I can actually do wifi calling) as it used to do on my iPhone 6. When I turn off airplane mode, then it appears next to the wifi symbol. Tried resetting network setting and even restore the phone. Nothing helped. I guess its an iOS issue that needs to be fixed with an update.

I am aware that this is a user-user forum. I (a user) was informing another user about an issue with the iOS to let him know there is nothing he can do about until Apple fixes it when another user (you) came around and told us that we don’t know that we need to swipe down in order to see the control center and there is no issue with the iOS. What is not helpful are false statements like that. So, if anybody’s statements are no good, its yours.

After making sure WiFi calling is active with your network operator and on your handset, swipe down from the top right corner and go into Flight Safe mode. Come out of Flight Safe mode and when the handset searches for the network operator the WiFi calling symbol should appear next to the operator's name indicating that it is working. Now, go back into Flight Safe mode, make sure, enable a WiFi connection (which you can do if you are in the vicinity of a WiFi network) and you will find that you can indeed make a WiFi call. This is not as intuitive as on iPhone 6 & 7 but works
