How do I restore deleted iOS news widget?
I was cleaning up my iphone and deleting apps I thought I never used. I deleted News without realizing it was the News widget I was deleting.
Is there any way to get the News widget back?
Thanks :-)

If you deleted the news app itself, you can just re-install it from the app store.
Once you've done that, you can re-instate the news widget itself using the edit button below the displayed widgets (it may well re-add itself when the app is re-installed).

Everyone’s saying seems correct.
News widget is available at AppStore with the name ‘Apple News’.
But, it looks available only if your Apple ID’s country/region is set to ‘United States’.
So, I think this trouble is specific to users whose country/region is outside of ‘United States’.
I’m also the one who met this trouble.
I opened AppStore, tap ‘Apps’ button, tap user icon and changed my Apple ID’s country/region to ‘United States’ and backed to AppStore, tap ‘Search’ and typed ‘Apple News’, then I could find and reinstalled it. After I restored my original country/region, the news contents also changed for my country.
I hope this helps.
This exact think jut happened to me! The only thing I can associate with it is recently being asked to have unused apps removed to save space. It didn’t give me a list of what would be affected. I check the news widget regularly to see the headlines. I didn’t think it would delete that! Any suggestions to get it back would be greatly appreciated. I don’t know what news widget app everyone is referring to. Thanks.
I tried the steps for switching the store from Canada to the US but it won’t let me until I use up all my store credit and my season’s pass for two tv shows I download expires. I now can’t seem to get my News widget back.
Thank you so much, this worked!
It was the country setting causing the problem with not being able to find it in the App Store.
The apple news app does not appear to be available in the App store (from canada?) - not sure how to restore the widget!
I deleted the app because some storage summary said 'never used' - didn't realize this what was behind the widget i use daily.
Now i can't restore - help!
Same problem here. Changing the country makes you have to change all your billing info. Silly! Thanks Apple!
