I had lost my iPhone in January. I did a claim and got a new phone. Several months later it was found. I no longer need it, but it won’t allow it to be used because it was reported lost stolen. Is there a way to fix this?
Call either your cell carrier and/or Apple and ask them about this. You would likely need to show original proof of purchase and the report you filed when it was first lost/stolen, but one of them should be able to unlock the phone.

Contact the insurance company with which you filed a claim. Failing to do so may constitute fraud.
If it was replaced under some form of carrier offered insurance, then you may find you are required to send it in to the insurance company since you received a replacement from them.
