my 3D Touch is not working inside my WhatsApp app, it reads the message

I have an iPhone 7 plus. ever since I updated the software to iOS 11, The 3D Touch in the WhatsApp app doesn't work effectively. it doesn't show me the last messages sent and marks the chat I open in 3D Touch as read. how do I fix this?

Restart your phone... it works I have this problem occasionally too

if it's only in that app then likely you will have to wait until they update the apps
