FaceID intermittently not working with apps
Received my iPhone X on Friday. FaceID has been working nearly flawlessly for unlocking the device. I have it enabled to 1password, Mint and Bank of America apps where it had been working well.
Yesterday, I thought I found a bug in the 1password app where it only offered me the master password to log in. Eventually, I could use FaceID again.
This morning, I woke and turned on the phone - FaceID unlocked the home screen. I tried to open my BofA app to see if a check had cleared and found the home screen prompting me for a password even though FaceID was enabled for that app.
I opened up 1password only to find the single option of the master password text entry. Got through that and went into settings to find FaceID wasn't an option there (only showed pin).
Decided to check the Mint app - got prompt for pin code.
I confirmed FaceID was enabled for those three apps. Again, FaceID is unlocking my phone so this isn't an issue with the phone restarting and needing the passcode to enable FaceID.
Tried to chat with Apple support but it was taking forever to get this basic information through so will schedule a call for later.
I've logged into each app and then back out - FaceID still not an option.
Had to restart the iPhone for FaceID to start working with the apps again.
Anyone else experiencing this?
