Have "In-App Ratings & Reviews" turned off, still get requests for ratings

Hello

I have iOS 11 running on my iPhone and I set "In-App Ratings & Reviews" to off in the settings. But I still get requests on apps to rate them.

Is there some way to make this really work? I don't like being asked constantly to post a rating.

Thanks

You can still be asked. The In-App Ratings & Reviews just simplifies the process of rating apps, in that it allows you to rate the app from the app itself instead of taking you to the App Store to do this. Turning this off will not stop the requests to rate and will instead take you to the App Store to rate. Some developers have a Do Not Ask Again feature though.

I see. I thought this setting was to prevent me from being asked. At least that's what CNET reported:

2. Put an end to app rating requests

Apps asking you for your thoughts and opinion isn't new to iOS 11, but a setting to disable them is. Now, you can put an end to an app interrupting you with a request for you to rate it. Head to Settings > iTunes & App Storeand toggle off In-App Ratings & Reviews.
