Transfer Notes Mac to iPhone without iCloud

This is Specifically for how to Transfer from a Mac to >>> an iPhone (not the other way around)

(Without using iCloud)

I looked and looked online and all I find answers to this question is;

-How to transfer notes from iPhone to Mac (tons of articles on this)

-How to transfer notes from the cloud to iPhone (tons of articles on this

iCloud has my notes but will not let me transfer them down onto my iPhone, so it will be native on my drive.

My Macbook pro has the notes also saved as well, but I cannot figure out how to transfer/sync to my iPhone.

How do I get my notes onto my iPhone? I have them on my Mac, in the notes app (on the mac)

thanks

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Aluminum Macbook pro 7.1

No, you really need iCloud if you want to share your notes and keep updates and changes to those notes across devices. Otherwise your don't need iCloud to use notes.

Having iCloud Notes turned on defaults the selected group to iCloud.

However, it is quite easy to click on the back arrow < at the top of the Notes list, and you will then see your default

Folders structure:

All iCloud

Notes

All on my iPhone

Notes

You can also add custom folders as you wish on either iCloud or on the iPhone.

To switch from one to the other, you start your Notes from that screen, unless you use one or the other the majority of the time.
