Why does iCal only print in portrait mode?

Before High Sierra, iCal printed calendars in landscape mode, one month to a page. Now the print function is set to portrait mode which cuts a month in half and produces a useless print. How can I reset iCal to print in landscape mode? I can not find anything in the various print settings that allows me to do this.

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1), 16GB memory, 27" display, 2015 ver.

Hello Big Mike,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand that when printing calendars, they are now printing in portrait mode instead of landscape. This change can be made from the Print dialog after you select print from within the Calendar app. This article will provide the necessary information:

macOS Sierra: Print documents

If you are unable to change the orientation as it shows there, then reset the printing system and try again. This article will describe resetting the printing system:

macOS Sierra: Reset the printing system

Best regards.

Hi Allen,

The problem is that there is no orientation button or setting on any of the print screens. This is true for all my printers. So I am unable to change from the inappropriate portrait mode to landscape. Short of reseting the print system I don't see anything that answers this in the Apple articles. Is there a bug in the High Sierra/iCal combination?

I found that under presets mine was set to last used settings. I changed it to default and that fixed the problem. I'm guessing the last used setting was set to portrait causing it to print in portrait. I would think that if the last used setting was landscape then it would have printed in landscape. Oversight on apple's part to not have an option that allows you to change it within the iCal print screen.
