Facebook Messenger notifications override iPhone's Do Not Disturb Mode

I get woken up in the middle of the night by messages pinging in Facebook messenger, which is overriding my Do Not Disturb Mode on my iPhone. I don't see a way to manually change FB Messenger settings on the phone or on the desktop app. Anyone know why FB can override my iPhone settings and how I can resolve this annoying problem?

Hey, simatai33.

I see that you're being awaken at night by FaceBook Messenger when Do Not Disturb is turned on. I'm happy to help.

Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- First, force close Facebook's Messenger application if it's open, then -- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Once it's returned to the Home screen, test the issue.

How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- If restarting your iPhone didn't resolve the issue, you can offload Facebook's Messenger application, then reinstall it again. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, scroll to the Facebook Messenger application and tap "Offload App". Once the application has been removed, reinstall it again and test.

Let me know how that goes.

Take care!
