iPhone X Ring Volume Low

Why does the ringer volume not increase when I attempt to use Ringer Up volume button or in the Settings?

Also, why does the ringer volume go very low after the first ring and we are not able to increase the volume so it stays louder?

1) When attempting to use the volume up button to increase the Ringer volume it increases the Volume for the sound but NOT the Ringer.

2) When I receive a call the volume is low and goes even lower on subsequent rings.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

I would change the ringer to/from silent then press the up button in an attempt to increase the ringer volume but it only increases the Volume for the sound (ie; music) but NOT the Ringer. The Ringer screen would pop up but it's immediately replaced with the Volume screen.

I went to Settings>Sounds & Haptics>Ringer and Alerts and increased the slider button to max (the sound would ring very loud). I also turned ON Change with Buttons (*the volume of the ringer and alerts can be adjusted using the volume buttons) but the Ringer volume would still be low when I would make a test call.

I spoke with 3 other iPhone X owners and when we performed a test call they, too, had the same issue.

UPDATE: After adjusting and readjusting the volume in the Settings for the ringer and turning the ringer ON/OFF on my iPhone X it suddenly began to ring normally with an incoming call. HOWEVER, the other 3 iPhone X's still have the very low ringing issue when a call comes in despite trying to fiddle with the settings as I did.

iPhone X lowers ringer volume if its face detection algorithm determines that you’re looking at the phone, in which case an audio cue is no longer needed.

It should ring normally when the screen is off, or you’re not looking at it.

Hopefully i have no iPhoneX, I have a 7+, works ok. My Wife's iPhone X is the worst I've seen since the first gen. (I had them all). She has neither ring nor vibrate nor notification for calls and imessages or sms texts. (EXCEPT if she uses for one contact the emergency bypass feature). Switching attention awareness in the settings does not change the problem. Battery performance is short, device thickness is high. The only benefit I see from iphone X is that when in low power mode (aka all the time) the screen does not shut down on the user reading something.

The users of those devices are considered like a basic monkeys. It would be better to have access to settings like screen dimming time, cpu performance, like on a mac. Not requiring the face thing nor the ridiculous price point.

Keyboard was much faster and better with less errors with iPhone 3G and 4 iOSes. Test selecting cut/paste was also stellar in past versions. Screens are not that bright in sunlight. This high ppi for screens is 100% useless. (do better AA instead) This cpu/gpu performance is useless 99% of the use time (except for gaming time) heat dissipation is not enough for that computing power. Battery chemistry is degrading at body temperature... Well start real work people ! Do something different !! That is what must be done when stopped at a wall. We are in 2018 and still using devices very similar to 2008. This is as ridiculous as the space programmes. Shame on us, buyers, contributing to this.
