Moving dock on iPad!

Hi. This is an odd thing that happens to some users. Try restarting the iPad. Power off, not just sleep.

Just for reference, what model iPad do you have?

And, have you updated to iOS 11.1? (Your post says iOS 11.0.1.)

You need to restart the iPad to restore the dock. Power off, not just sleep.

You may be able to avoid the problem by avoiding apps (games?) that play embedded videos.

And please report it to Apple by posting at this link: Feedback - iPad - Apple. Apple is not listening to these forums.

My dock did the same thing. The only way I could get it back where it belonged was to do a hard reboot. Turn your iPad on and then hold down the power switch at the top right hand side at the same time you’re holding down the soft circle switch at the bottom. Keep pressing them both until the screen goes blank. The Apple icon will appear and it will reload.

Same thing has been happening to me. I have to restart multiple times a day to fix it. That is unacceptable.

I am having the same issue, after a re-set (power button and home button) it Returns to the bottom of the screen then messes up a few minutes later. iPad Pro 12.9”

I also have been having this problem. iOS 11.0.3. I have had dock move almost every day and have to shut down to fix. I also have the notification button on my settings showing that there is 1 item, but when it s arches says I my software is up to date. Why doesn’t it give option for iOS 11.1?

I also have the dock moving. I have 11.1.2 os. I have to shut down pretty much daily to fix and it just keeps moving back up. Very annoying. Please find a fix. Just started about a week ago.

I also have this issue it’s very annoying and I have to turn my iPad off every time it decides to move itself to the middle of my screen I wish there was a setting where you could turn it off or lock it or something I have also done the update so it’s not that ... I’m at my wits end with it though please find a fix for this!! I’m about to go with a MacBook or something else very annoying it literally will go on top of my apps sometimes and I have to reset it again and again throughout the day!

Agreed, very annoying!why isn’t Apple trying to fix this!!!!! I found if I rotate my iPad it shows up, but never the whole thing. I have to keep turning to find the dock! APPLE PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!!!

Same happening here. Almost daily now. iPad Pro 10.5 with 11.2.6 - rebooting daily is not a fix. It has been happening for through the last few updates. Is a fix coming? Has Apple ack’d this as an issue and that they’re working on a fix? I hope so!

I also have this problem, but a little worse. The dock will completely disappear! I do turn it off and back on to get it back, but it happens regularly.

I have an iPad Pro 9.7 with the most uptodate iOS. I hoped that this issue would go away with the last update, but it hasn’t.
