Hi! I was wondering if it’s possible to go out of apps and back to the homescreen without having to PRESS the homebutton. Similar to the soft touch feature on macbooks. Would love to be able to gently touch the homebutton like I touch the screen.

If you go to Settings->General->Accessibility->Assistive Touch, and turn it on, you'll get a hovering home button on screen you can place anywhere you want to. It acts like the Home Button in most respects including going back to the Homescreen from Apps.
