iPhone X drops car bluetooth connection when initiated by car.

Over the past few days, after the initial pairing of my iPhone X with my Ford Focus (2011 model); I've noticed that when the car initiates a bluetooth connection (i.e. infotainment system is turned on), the bluetooth connection will be dropped within 5 minutes or so, attempting to reconnect to iPhone through the vehicle will subsequently lose connection.

If the bluetooth connection is triggered from the iPhone's Bluetooth setting menu, however, the connection will remain active and fine.

Any one else experiencing similar issues? I never saw this on the iPhone 5s, 6 and 7 I had previous paired with the vehicle. A software bug perhaps (iOS 11.1)?

I too am having similar issues with the iPhone X and my Volvo XC60 bluetooth. Connection is good, then no connection. Connection with my Navdy is also lost while in the car. With my iPhone 7, never had this problem. I was thinking it was a phone issue, now I think it is a software issue.

Exact same with Mazda 5. So annoying! I’m on latest dev beta too and still no fix for it! Definitely a software issue as it’s happening on iPhone X, iPhone 6, and son’s iPhone 7

I’m having the same issue too with with my X. My wife has an 8 Plus and it’s also doing it. Both are effected in our VW and our Volvo. Hopefully this next software update fixes it.
