On my iPad I have tried to change the keyboard (General => Keyboard => Keyboards => English =>) to English QWERTY.
No matter what I check off QWERTY, AZERTY or QWERTZ nothing changes.
My other Roman language keyboards work fine in QWERTY but not the English one.

I uninstalled the Swype app and have now regained control of my key board.
QWERTY in English is now working fine again.

I think there is something wrong with your install. It should say English (United States) like mine does, not just "English". Can you make it that way via settings?

Good news. Do your keyboard settings now say English (United States) or something more than just English?
What is your problem exactly? Is your English screen keyboard showing AZERTY even though you have QWERTY checked in the settings?
Don’t feel like adding more apps in order to have my keyboard work as it should. Thanks for the suggestion anyway
I have 3 other languages set and all have QWERTY only English is not working. Yes I tried reset, but no luck.
Under Settings => Keyboards it says: “English” and using the 🌐 key on keyboard it says “English (US)
