iPhone x control center/shut off

I've had my iPhone X for a week now and I absolutely love it. My only issue/question is the shut off button. It's not ideal or user friendly to now have to press the right button + volume up button to shut off the phone. Is there any plans to add "shut off" as a selection option on the now customizable control center? Love that you can customize the control center but a lot more features need to be added especially a "shut off" button. Apple- please add this in the next OS update!

Settings -> General, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap "Shut Down". And you can leave feedback to Apple at Product Feedback - Apple

Honestly, many people never shut off their iPhones. My iPhone 7 has been on 24/7 since I got it in October of last year. it replaced my iPhone 6 that had been on pretty much 24/7 for two years. I use the mute switch to kill all sounds in meetings or public settings like theaters, and Do Not Disturb overnight (on a schedule) although it is plugged in overnight as well to charge for the next day and run its automatic iCloud backup.

I'm simply pointing out that while it is certainly anyone's personal choice to do so, there is no inherent reason to regularly or frequently power off an iPhone.

Thanks. I definitely know how to shut off the iPhone in the general settings. It's just inconvenient for anyone looking for a fast shutdown. Since the control center on the iPhone X is now customizable it should be added as a tab to include in control center. It would make great sense. And regarding shutting down often, it's actually suggested by Apple techs to shut down your iPhone after many app updates so your phone can run better. You might want to shut off your phone at least once if you haven't in 2 years. Just saying to improve performance of your phone.

Sorry, but I don’t agree with what you’ve been told. My iPhone 7 (and original 12.9” iPad Pro and older iPad Air 2) all run perfectly fine despite having almost never been power cycled other than the normal reboots during iOS updates. I’ve treated all my iOS devices that way since I got my first iPhone in 2008. Since my iPhone is my only telephone (haven’t had any other in nearly 10 years now) I’ve never had or seen any need for actually powering off and on.

There is no inherent reason to power cycle an iOS device. If you find you need to, then you have an app or service that is corrupting data. Even if having problems, a simple reset does the exact same thing and is quicker and easier to accomplish.
