Hi There! It appears that Clips requires Location data in order for Scenes to rotate properly. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Turn On Location Services > Clips > Allow Location Access While Using the App. Does this resolve the issue?
Strangely, Clips doesn’t appear under Location Services for me, as if it’s never requested them.
I’ve reinstalled the app a few times, in a hope of fixing it, and I’m 99% it was under there before, but now it’s not 🤔
Hmm, try launching Clips, tap on the Effects button (rainbow star icon), tap Labels or Stickers. You should be prompted to turn Location Services on. Tap Allow. Does this resolve the issue? If not, try toggling Location Services Off then On in Settings.
Well that made Clips show up in Location Services. I allowed it and no change, even after restarting the app. Tried disabling and reenabling Location Services and still no change.
Interesting though that going into Selfie Scenes didn’t trigger the prompt to enable Location Services...
I’ve been onto support and they’ve run diagnostics on my phone so it seems it’s not a hardware issue. Other AR apps seems to work smoothly too. So it’s looking to me like a bug in Clips. Seems like quite an omission though, and it’s a bit disappointing when it was touted as one of the features of the iPhone X.
Compass Calibration worked for me, temporarily. Turned it on, reinstalled app and it worked.
I was curious to see if I needed it on all the time or just the first time, so disabled it and then it stopped working.
And now, even after enabling Compass Calibration again, I can’t get it to work again! Not even reinstalling like the first time worked for me this time.
I think I've found the solution!
1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services
2. Turn off Compass Calibration
3. Turn Compass Calibration Back On
4. Go back to Settings > Privacy > Location Services
5. Turn off Location Services
6. Turn Location Services Back On
This worked for me! Anybody else?

I think, that there is some problem with scenes download. After uninstalling and reinstalling they still there :(
Same problem for me too! Doesn’t work on iPhone X and I have location services enabled. Disappointing.
Hi, I had the same problem. But it was resolved after I turn on Compass Calibration under System Services
Not sure what sequence worked for me, but I think that turning compass calibration on and then reinstalling the app does the trick.
