Is it safe to accept payments on craigslist using Apple Pay Cash?

I recently had extremely bad experience with Venmo. The scammer contacted me on Craigslist and insisted pay with Venmo. They paid me in person, get the items, and leave. I confirmed that the money is already on my Venmo balance before I allow him to take away the items. However, all the money simply disappeared in 24 hours.

I'm posting this question here because I don't know if Apple Pay Cash will have the same issue, which allows another party just take money back.
