What is symbol upper right corner that looks like a compass?

I occasionally see a symbol show up in the upper right corner. It looks like a compass or a clock. When I push it, the symbol for previous apps takes it's place but the script doesn't change. Thanks, Connie357

I think you are referring to the location services icon.

To post a screenshot, just start a normal post, then use the camera icon at the top of the editor. You can then go to your photos and select the one. Since we're only concerned about a corner of the top of the iPad, you could use the Photos editor to crop it down first.

Diana, I'm so appreciative of your efforts to help me. I was unable to send a picture of the compass thing. I was going through my ipad guide looking for something else when I noticed the same symbol on the page. It was the icon for safari. I feel so foolish. Sorry to waste your time. Thanks connie357
