Anker USB 3.0 and Ethernet Hub - ethernet no longer works

I have the following connected to my MBP and before the High Sierra update my MBP connected to the router via this ethernet connection with no issues whatsoever.


However, straight after the upgrade (Nov 10th 2017) the ethernet no longer works. I checked the Anker website but as this is a new upgrade no updates/patches exist.


Anyone else have issues connecting via ethernet after the Mac OS High Sierra update?

Ok really weird - I've resolved this but don't know exactly how! (some weird steps), If anyone has this issue ping me.
