I bought an Iphone X from another person who said the phone was unlocked. He agreed to my request to only meet INSIDE THE POLICE STATION and we made the deal. Now I found the phone is on payments with Sprint and obviously he doesn't answer the phone.
Already went to the police who said it is a civil case, go to the court, bla bla bla.
In terms of the phone usability, what can I do?.

Yes, what online source were you using, Craig's List? It is better to use outlets that provide for refund possibilities like eBay, but to be honest, I would stick with Apple or an Authorized Reseller.
I paid $1200 for a 64GB. It is true that there are many ways to scam people, but you never think somebody will go into a police station and scam you.
Yes that is why I want to unlock it first then sell it for somebody abroad, so they can use it.

He will not get away with this Sprint will take him to court they will send in the
Bailiffs if he doesn't pay for iPhone contact.
