Am I Infected?

I think my mac might have a virus. I downloaded a program from the internet (I don't even remember what it is called) so that I could make backups of my iPhone. I deleted the program, but it is still making popup messages in the corner of the screen every few minutes that look like this:

Any Ideas what is going on, and how I can delete the files that are making this happen?
