Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I have my iPad to the screen that has the iTunes logo and the pictures of the charger cable, but it won't go to the screen that I can pick the restore or update option.

so, I have gone to the support page and followed the directions on the page. it has been more than 10 minutes and the screen is still there and my computer has said nothing. How long do I wait? Is there another step? what comes next?

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 9.3.5

On the computer, launch the latest version of iTunes.


With the iTunes logo on the iPad screen, plug the iPad into the computer via the lightning cable.


A prompt will appear on the computer screen that says "there is something wrong with this iPad". Select update or restore. Follow the prompts. (If you choose restore, it will erase all content and settings from the iPad.)
