safari tabs no longer display description of website

After macOS 10.13.1 update the description of the website I'm on no longer is displayed in the tab bar. Below is a screenshot showing 7 tabs with no descriptive info in the tab bar. Safari in iOS 11.1.1 displays tab info ok. Any ideas?

Thanks Eric.

The first item on your list fixed it.

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test.

Actually, the "Develop" menu was already checked (don't know why) but I went there and did "Empty Caches".

However, when I went to "Quit" it was greyed out. I tried Command-Q but it wouldn't work so I did a Force Quit and when I restarted Safari, all was good.
