Why is my IPhone 6 Plus running so slow after this latest update ?

The phone has been ridiculous slow to respond while doing pretty much anything. Doesn’t seem to be within just one specific app, but rather everywhere. The internet is slower, the response to buttons being pushed is slower. Apps open slower. Everything is slower. Seems like a lot of bugs need to be sorted out. My husbands does the same thing since he ran latest update.
