I cannot update to High Sierra on my MacMini 2014 with Fusion Drive. I tried all of the suggestions in this community and eventually wiped the HD and had Sierra 10.12.6 clean reinstalled at my local Apple Store, but still cannot update?! Is this a Fusion Drive issue?
Mac mini (Late 2014), macOS Sierra (10.12.6), 1 Tb Fusion Drive
The High Sierra update downloads and the update process begins as normal, but when the Mac restarts the update process stops and it opens up as normal.
I’ve updated two other MacBook Pro’s to High Sierra, so know what a successful update looks like.
I’ve tried updating in safe and recovery modes, no difference, the update process stops after restart.

I see. You could try installing from a bootable USB installer.

So what happens when you go to the App Store and try to download High Sierra?
High Sierra will install on a fusion drive but you will not be able to convert it to APFS, as yet.
FWIW, I've installed High Sierra on two iMacs with Fusion drives without a problem. Is the Fusion drive one you created yourself or purchased with an Apple Fusion drive?

Other than taking it to an Apple Store as you did with Sierra, no. Perhaps someone else will have an idea.
