Hiti p510 drivers issues

I’m having trouble printing from MBP to my Hiti p510. I have installed the latest drivers from Hiti’s website and updated the firmware. The printer works fine in stand alone mode but when I connect it to my MBP I a get a faint beeping sound from the printer. I can’t print from any application ...photoshop, previe, Lightroom, etc.
