And a metal case creates problems for inductive charging, so as inductive charging becomes more common, you’re going to see fewer and fewer devices made with metal external enclosures.

since they change it for 8 too don't seem likely at this time you can advise then to do so using their feedback channel

Why would I get that? I live in a country where it's cold 8 months out of the year. Only Apple knows. Even then I would not get it.
