Touchscreen failure after updating

Since updating my iPhone 7 from time to time the touchscreen does not work. Does not react and turning off the phone is not possible either. Must wait until the battery is down and the system turns off itself. Then I can restart. And then the phone works again. No other possibilty? Going back to older system?
