Hard disk space lost when Bootcamp failed

Hei guys,

I've Late 2011 MBP with High Sierra 10.13.

I tried to install Win 7 and during the process, things went wrong and finally lost 75 GB (out of 1TB) space on my HDD.

The discussion at Lost Space After Removing Bootcamp Partition is similar to mine. However, some info provided by the user in that post is different than mine. So, I'm posting the problem here again.

Please note that the first screenshot shows only 924.35 GB while the second one shows 1 TB.

In page no 2 of the above mentioned discussion, it was discussed that OS has to be reinstalled. So, related info from my side is:

No backup of any kind (manual, time machine etc).

MacOS backup - downloading of High Sierra in progress at this moment.

FileVault turned off.

If I try to install Windows 7 in the current state of things, and with Windows partition size as 75 GB, I get the following error.

If I keep the partition size as 100 GB, Bootcamp spends a lot of time at "Status: Partitioning disk..." and finally throws an error as above.

Please suggest further action.

My ultimate destination is Windows 10. When I tried to install Windows 10 via Bootcamp, I got a message that Windows 10 can't be installed. So, I am planning to install Windows 7 first and then upgrade to Windows 10. Is this right way or something went wrong during Windows 10 installation?
