Hi I just got the iphone x and did a restore from icloud. I went through every app one by one to restore it, log in, delete the ones no longer supported etc. However I cannot download Software IOS update 11.1.1 because it says the iphone must be finished restoring from the icloud backup. I tried turning on and off phone and closing update app. Any advise would be appreciated thankyou

It probably means that some of your data is still being dowloaded from iCloud. You can check if this is the case by going to Settings, clicking your name at the top, then click iCloud, then go to Backup, if it still says restoring from iCloud then you can either cancel it, if you are sure all of your data has been downloaded, or wait for it to stop saying restoring.
If this does not work, I would suggest that your reset you phone, set it up as a new phone, then download the update, after that you can restore from backup, by resetting your phone again.
