I noticed under "Shared" a printer I don't recognize. The info window tells me it's an Epson model I never had, for PC, which I don't have. Could someone have shared my connection without my knowledge? I checked System Preferences and none of the sharing options are checked. How do I get rid of this? Thanks.
Thanks, but I don't have "right click". Control/click only gives me "Open In New Tab" or "Get Info" options, no delete option. This bugs me because I have no idea whose printer it is or where it came from.
Go to Apple > System Preferences > Sharing and uncheck the box in front of Printer Sharing.
Control (right) click on it and select Remove from Sidebar.
That is why this is so mysterious: Nothing at all is checked in Sharing, never has been.
Hover your mouse pointer over Shared on the sidebar and select Hide.
Thanks. When I went back to do as you suggested, the entire Shared column was gone. Never saw it do this before, and as of right now, still is gone. I hope it stays that way.
