Question: Problem with reseting icloud password

Please a sister gave me iphone 6 and I had a hardware issue that required system restore. After the restore the phone is asking for activation with icloud. Unfortunately she does not remember the password to the account. She has tried several times to reset it but when she enters the master card number required, she keeps on receiving a message that it is wrong. Please is there any way this problem could be solved? Please I really need your help.

If she can't reset the account's password herself (http://iforgot.apple.com) she could contact Support in the country where she us (and which is therefore the country on the account) and see if they can reset them for her : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security


If her country isn't on that page she could try this form to contact Support : https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html


Or, and if she was the original purchaser of the phone (i.e. it wasn’t bought used), she could try going to an Apple Store (she should make a Genius Bar appointment if she does) or try contacting iTunes Support online (https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html) and see if they can remove the iPad from the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they might help e.g. original receipt with the serial number on it
