Hi guys
Ive installed Final Cut Pro X 10.2.1 and I downloaded some transitions but when I install them (Home>Movies>Motion Templates>Transitions) they show up red in Final cut pro x. The folders have the extension .localized so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Something in that motion file is corrupted, or it didn't install properly.
Go to your User folder, to Movies, to the Motion Template folder, to the Transitions folder. Find this one specifically and see if you can open the Motion project file directly. If not, it is corrupted, OR this set is updated to work with the current version of Motion and FCPX, and not on the very old version you're running. If you can't find it, it didn't install.
This may have been created with a version of Motion that us too new.
Current Motion version (5.3.2) corresponds to FCP X 10.3.*.
I don’t think that templates done in this version will work in 10.2.1.
What OS are you running?
If you are running at least El Capitan 10.11.4 you should be able to update FCP X.
Show the Motion Templates folder structure in column view.
